A shocking incident came to light from the Baner jurisdiction where a 20-year-old man and his friend were brutally attacked by a group of four to five people for staring two days earlier. The incident took place at Shivnagar Pashan around 10:30 pm.
The accused have been identified as Aditya Dashrath Avchare, Bilkul Rathore, and three others.
According to the police, the victim, Sumit Suresh Kshirsagar (20), was standing and talking with his friend Saurabh near Balu Kokate's office at Shivnagar Pashan. Meanwhile, a minor accused, along with his 3-4 aides carrying sharp weapons, came to the place and started beating Sumit. They attacked him with sharp weapons on the head, causing serious injuries. While attacking, the goons threatened Sumit, questioning why he had gone against accused Aditya Avchare.

Speaking to Free Press Journal, Mahesh Bolkotgi, Senior Inspector of Baner Police Station, said, "We have arrested Dashrath and one minor accused. Soon, the other accused will be arrested. The accused had anger over Sumit staring at them two days earlier. Keeping that anger in mind, the victim, Sumit, was attacked by them. The victim has been shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. We are searching for the weapons used in the crime and the escaped accused as well. The matter is under investigation, and soon everything will be on the table."
Regarding the matter, a case has been registered under sections 109, 115(2), and other sections of the Indian Penal Code.
