Despite the controversy surrounding the new vehicles, Mahindra & Mahindra's to new launches, namely, the XEV 9e and BE 6 appear to garnering attention and praise from some.
Nitin Gadkari Lauds Mahindra
The latest to issue their appreciation towards the project was Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways.
In a post on X, Nitin Gadkari posted a small clipping of him exploring both the cars. In the video, he is seen looking through and taking stock of a red XEV 9e and a white BE 6.
In his post, Gadkari added, "I was pleased to see Mahindra's two recently launched electric cars!"
Further, he also added, "It is a matter of joy and pride that Indian companies are also competing in the world automobile market using the latest technology. Electric vehicles are the future."
The electric and hybrid car market has zoomed in prominence in the recent past. The demand for electric cars and their subsequent production has jumped in the Indian market.
Highlighting just that, Gadkari further added,"Electric vehicles are the future. Congratulations and best wishes to all those working in this direction."

This comes at the back of a litigation that the company is engaged in. In this case, the LCA IndiGo sued Mahindra for allegedly infringing its call sign BE 6.
Mahindra competes with some of the biggest names in the passenger vehicle business. In India, the market is spearheaded by Maruti Suzuki, followed by Tata Motors and Hyundai.
Mahindra On The Most Valuable List
Previously, Mahindra had shared another post on the growth of the his company. While reacting to a list of the most valuable car companies in the world, he shared a short glimpse into the company's evolution.
Mahindra said, "In 1991, when the Indian economy opened up, the world believed there were scant chances of our survival as an independent automaker. We sought out Stellantis (Peugeot—for engine knowhow) Ford and Renault for knowledge on how to build modern cars. And we are grateful for their partnership. So I have to admit to a tinge of gratification at seeing this ranking."
The ranking placed his company on the 11th position, with a total of USD 43.12 billion in terms of market capitalisation. This list was topped by Elon Musk's USD 1.23 trillion.
