Former zonal director of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Sameer Wankhede, who had arrested Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in the sensational drugs case back in 2021, finally reacted to the viral dialogue from the superstar's 2023 film, Jawan, which people deemed to be a jibe at him.

In the film, SRK's character was heard delivering a powerful dialogue, "Bete ko haath lagane se pehle baap se baat kar," and fans of the actor were convinced that it was an indirect warning for Wankhede, who had arrested Aryan.

However, Wankhede dismissed the chatter when he appeared on The Gaurav Thakur Show podcase, and instead, went on to call the dialogue "cheap" and "roadside". He stated, "I don't watch much movies honestly. And this dialogue that you mentioned, the words used in it like 'baap', 'beta'... I find these very cheap and third-rated words."

"In Indian culture, we do not use these words. These are roadside dialogues and I cannot be expected to go down to that level and respond to them," he added.

He also refused to further speak about SRK and Aryan, stating, "I don't want to name anyone and make them famous."

For those unversed, Aryan Khan was arrested from the Cordelia Cruise ship off Mumbai's coast in October 2021 by Wankede and his team after they received a tip off about drugs being consumed on the ship. Aryan was lodged in jail for a month and was later released on bail.

In 2023, the CBI registered a corruption case against Wankhede and four others for conspiring to extort Rs 25 crore from the family of one those onboard the cruise ship in exchange for not booking him.

Meanwhile, Aryan is all set to mark his Bollywood debut, not as an actor, but as a filmmaker. SRK's eldest son is gearing up for the release of his debut directorial which will release on Netflix in 2025.

SRK, on the other hand, will reportedly be seen sharing the screen with his daughter Suhana Khan in his next, titled King. The film will go on floors in 2025.
