Airbnbing for a homestay is probably something most travellers are going for instead of renting a lodge room. However, an owner of a homestay in Goa shared a video of how a recent visitor to their flat left the space messy. The owner released visuals of how a recent customer checking into the homestay littered used products all around the house, leaving the kitchen deck shabby.
The video showed a comparative view of how the accommodation was given to them for usage and how they checked out. At first, the rooms and the cooking space looked neat, only to turn dirty and untidy overnight.
The visuals showed the sink overflowing with used plates and bowls, milk smeared across the kitchen space, table left with food open and leftover, followed by a disorganised bedroom.

"We don’t expect things to be untouched but leaving such a mess is just beyond any reasoning. We can at-least be a little thoughtful. Running an Airbnb is not so easy on the heart", Golden Perch Goa wrote on Instagram while expressing the ordeal of a recent visitor having "destroyed their paradise" by leaving it unclean.
"Enough with paradise, after two years of hosting, we finally got some trouble our way. When you put in efforts and someone destroys it, something dies in you. But we need to get back up again and focus on making things better", the post read further.
Netizens react
The internet was upset with what the visitors had done to the neat and tidy homestay. They fumed over how this customer used the place overnight and left it in a messy way.
"I'm someone who always leaves the hotel room tidy coz that's what I have seen my mom do so and I can't even imagine leaving someone's home upside down like this. Whoever has done this should be named and shamed publicly. People with zero basic sense and etiquette should be just banned for using these services", one commented.
"I wouldn’t even do that in a hotel. I don’t even do that to our house help!! This is ridiculous", another added.
A few users supported the customers who left the stay without cleaning their dishes and left the room all messed up. "Nothing is broken or anything just not cleaned. Cleaning is not supposed to be done by the guests. It's not their home it's yours", people wrote while noting the point of view of not engaging in household chores when on a vacation.
Meanwhile, another user wrote, "No airbnb owner is expecting guests to do complete clean up before leaving but atleast guests should have some sense of responsibility".
