Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The ongoing Van Mela includes many stalls, which are selling many disease curing herbal products. The fair known for showcasing traditional crafts, organic products and Ayurvedic remedies has drawn public attention.
Among the many stalls promoting herbal and natural products, a self-proclaimed medicinal stall has become the talk of the event. This particular stall is offering herbal laddoos, which, according to the seller, can enhance fertility and improve reproductive health. Also the seller has claimed that he has similar products, which can help to cure diseases like cancer.
These claims have aroused visitors’ curiousity. This fair has about 300 different stalls, a separate section for Out Patient Department that has 16 Ayurvedic doctors offering free consultation. Many stalls are selling famous products like Kashmiri traditional clothes, traditional bamboo furniture and packed food products from different states.
Some stalls have been set up by state forest department, which has displayed fossils like 650 lakh-year old dinosaur egg fossil found in Dhar district. Van Mela, which aims to bridge the gap between urban consumers and forest-based products, continues to attract large crowds with its diverse range of offerings, from herbal medicines and organic produce to handicrafts and cultural performances.
Rashi Vatika
Van Mela has many attractions. One of them is Rashi Vatika or astrological garden. This innovative idea connects astrology with gardening, suggesting that specific plants can enhance positivity, peace, and prosperity based on an individual’s zodiac sign.
According to concept, each astrological sign has auspicious plants that align with its energy. By growing these plants in their gardens, people can create a harmonious and personalised green space. The stall has drawn considerable attention from visitors eager to explore the connection between nature and astrology.
