Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A bright day on Wednesday provided relief from the bone-chilling cold conditions in the state capital . The city's minimum temperature rose to 6.2 degrees Celsius, which was 2.2 degrees higher than Tuesday’s night temperature of 4 degrees Celsius.
However, most districts still recorded minimum temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius. In the last twenty four hours, weather conditions remained dry in the state. Places such as Umaria, Jabalpur, Mandla,Seoni and Naugaon remained in the grip of the cold wave.
Pachmarhi was among the coldest places in the state recording a low of 2.4 °C on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Minimum temperature also remained under 6 °C in Jabalpur, Gwalior and Khajuraho.
Medium fog was witnessed in Bhind, Gwalior, Tikamgarh, Niwari etc. Weather department forecasted medium fog in sundry places of Gwalior, Datia, Bhind, Chhattarpur etc.
