Isuzu Motors India has achieved a significant milestone by producing one lakh vehicles from its advanced manufacturing plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. This accomplishment highlights the company’s strong commitment to the Indian market and its expanding footprint in the country’s automotive sector. The milestone vehicle, an Isuzu D-MAX V-Cross, was rolled out amidst celebrations, symbolizing the model’s enduring popularity for its robust performance and reliability.
The milestone celebration was graced by Dr. N. Yuvaraj, Secretary to the Government of Andhra Pradesh, Industries, Commerce & Food Processing Department, as the chief guest. Also present were Dr. Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder and Managing Director of Sri City, and Makoto Sado, Chairman of the Sri City Japanese Company Group. Isuzu Motors India began its journey in 2016 with the establishment of its manufacturing facility in Sri City. In 2020, the company expanded its operations by inaugurating a cutting-edge Press Shop and engine assembly plant as part of its Phase-II development. Since then, the facility has produced over 14 lakh pressed parts, showcasing Isuzu’s growing manufacturing capabilities in India.
Isuzu Motors India has been operating from its Sri City facility since 2016 and expanded its capabilities in 2020 by launching a press shop and engine assembly unit under Phase 2 of its operations. The facility has since produced over 1.4 million pressed parts, reflecting its robust manufacturing strength. In the passenger vehicle segment, Isuzu offers the premium MU-X SUV, priced at Rs 37 lakh, and the popular D-Max V-Cross pickup truck, starting at Rs 25.51 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company also caters to the commercial vehicle market with models like the S-Cab and D-Max, catering to diverse customer needs.
