Kevin Owens has taken yet another shot at Cody Rhodes ahead of WWE's Annual holiday tour event. WWE released the list of venues where the events will take place on their social media handle. The post had pictures of wrestlers like Bianca Beliar, Jey Uso, World Heavy Weight champion Gunther, Jimmy Uso, WWE Women's champion Liv Morgan and WWE champion Cody Rhodes. However, Owens has his face posted with WWE title and Coady Rhodes outfit.
The prizefighter captioned the post, "BALLZ!!! Now that I have your attention, I have great news for you all! I am proud to officially announce that I will be competing in my first matches as your new, true WWE Champion on this year’s Holiday loop (that’s a term people in “the business” use that refers to a string of consecutive shows in different cities over a short period of time) starting in Jacksonville on the 26th, followed by 3 more shows in Florida and then one in Detroit for some reason. Be there to witness history! Oh, the Raw crew has shows too. Whatever."
Although Owens has declared himself the WWE Champion, the promotion has yet to take any formal disciplinary action for his post-match ambush and theft of the championship belt.
What injury did Cody Rhodes suffer after Kevin Owens attack?
The Stanford-based promotion company released a statement which said, "Cody Rhodes suffered cervical swelling and was kept overnight at a local hospital for observation. While X-Rays were negative for a fracture, Rhodes has been officially diagnosed with axial compression of the cervical spine, as well as a cervical strain with spasm."
While WWE has just shared update on Cody Rhodes injury, there is no information about his return date. The American Nightmare was placed onto a stretcher and taken in an ambulance for further evaluation. Owens' actions drew the ire of WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Leveque, who confronted him before going behind the curtain.
