Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway successfully organized the Second Pension Adalat of the year on 16 th December, 2024. The Pension Adalat was attended by several Railway Pensioners and Family Pensioners, in which 38 registered pensioner complaints and 3 pensioner complaints were redressed. Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Central - Niraj Verma, Additional Divisional Railway Manager - Smt. Aarti Singh Parihar and officers of Personnel as well as Accounts Department were also present on this occasion.
According to a press release issued by Vineet Abhishek – Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, DRM Verma while addressing the gathering mentioned that Pension Adalat is an important mechanism for resolving the problems of pensioners. Verma further stated that, our pensioners are our precious assets and our aim is to redress their grievances quickly and provide them better service. He also mentioned that the number of complaints has reduced considerably, as compared to earlier, due to the dedicated efforts of the Personnel and Accounts Department. Verma assured that the problems of pensioners would be taken care of and full support would be provided.
During the programme, pensioners' grievances were heard and were thoroughly examined & resolved. It is worth mentioning that out of the total 38 registered cases, 26 cases have been resolved, while the remaining 12 cases were resolved immediately.
