Delhi Riots Case: Court has granted Umar Khalid seven-day bail. The interim bail has been granted to Khalid in order for him to attend a wedding in the family. Previously, Khalid face tough time as he tried for bail. In October 2022, he was denied bail by Delhi High Court. Khalid faces charges under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with 2020 North-East Delhi riots.

Earlier this year, a trial court rejected his bail plea. The current interim-bail has been granted by Karkadooma court in Delhi.
