Awards & Scholarships: What’s Next After the Results?
Once the results are out, awards and scholarships will be granted based on the student's performance in international, zonal, and school rankings. Here's what you can expect:
Top Performers: Students with high rankings will receive medals, certificates, and scholarships.
School Recognition: School principals and instructors will also be honored with cash awards, trophies, and citations based on their students' success at international, zonal, and district levels.
Awards Ceremony: An awards ceremony may be held to honor the international top three rank holders, though only a few winners might be invited. Other awards and scholarships will be distributed through the schools.
Types of Awards and Scholarships
NSO, IEO, and IMO: Second-level champions from Classes 3-12 will get international and zonal topper awards. Classes 1-2, being single-level exams, will award the international and zonal topper honors to first-level winners.
IGKO, ICSO, ICO, IHO, and ISSO: For these exams, first-level winners will get international and zonal topper awards. Class toppers will be awarded based on their school’s criteria.
Scholarship Distribution: If a winner already receives a zonal award, the award for their rank will be given to the next in line.
What Happens After SOF Level 1 Results?
If you’ve participated in Level 1 of the SOF exams, here’s what comes next:
Students with top rankings in Level 1 exams, like IMO or NSO, may qualify for Level 2. The qualification criteria include:
Top 5% of students per class.
Top 25 rank holders at the school level.
School/Class toppers in case of tie-breaks.
Students qualifying for Level 2 should begin preparation by focusing on higher-level questions from the same curriculum. Speed and accuracy will be key in revising concepts.
All students will receive participation certificates, and top performers will be awarded medals and scholarships. Even if you don’t qualify for Level 2, you’ll still be recognised for your efforts.
Use the results from Level 1 to review your strengths and weaknesses. This analysis will help in improving your preparation for future exams and competitions.
Students who participated in Level 1 can use their rankings as a benchmark for upcoming Olympiads and other competitive exams.
This process offers students an opportunity to not only test their skills but also receive recognition for their hard work. So, if you’ve participated in the IEO, review your results, celebrate your success, and keep preparing for the next level!
