Maihar (Madhya Pradesh): The international Gita Mahotsav was celebrated in the district with enthusiasm on Wednesday. The students from Ved Vidyalaya, Maihar, recited slokas from the Gita on the premises of Nagar Palika tourist information centre. The message of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav was directly telecast on the occasion.
The students of Mahakal Vidyalaya and Gurukul presented a dance drama on the life of Lord Krishna. Legislator Shrikant Chaturvedi said that a Gita Bhawan would be constructed in the district.

Sironj: The students of Nirmala Convent Higher Secondary School celebrated Gita Jayanti. They sang devotional song. A senior teacher of the school Prakash Narayan Sharma told the students about the importance of the Gita Mahotsav. The Gita consisting of 18 chapters and 700 slokas is important to all religions across the world.
Handwritten Gita worshipped
Narmadapuram: State president of Vyas Peeth Sangathan Arvindacharya has said the solution to all problems lies in the Gita. He made the statement at an event organised on the premises of Sandipani premises of Samaritans School on Wednesday. The people of this country are fortunate that this book is showing light to everyone across the world, he said, adding that this is the only book whose Jayanti is celebrated. He also dedicated several religious books to the school library and appealed to the students to read them. The copy of the handwritten Gita, prepared by the children, was worshipped on the occasion.
