Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Indore Police is actively conducting social awareness initiatives to educate the public about cyber crimes, crimes against women, and the harmful effects of drug abuse. Continuing this effort, on Wednesday DCP Crime Rajesh Kumar Tripathi, and his team visited a private college to make students and faculty aware.

The awareness programme focused on modern-day cyber crimes, including online fraud, financial scams, sextortion, and misuse of social media. The police team provided insights on how criminals operate in cyberspace and shared preventive measures, emphasising the importance of not sharing personal information online and others.

DCP Tripathi addressed the rising concern of drug abuse among youth. The students and staff were informed about the adverse effects of drug consumption, followed by a collective oath to abstain from drugs and promote a healthy lifestyle. He also took time to observe the college’s projects such as Sakhi Super Hundred, Yuva Super Hundred, and Sports Super Hundred, which aim to empower students physically and mentally.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty, including the college Principal, and several professors. The participants lauded the police’s efforts in organizing such impactful programs to build a safer and healthier society.
