Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A man who stabbed another man for cutting his one-day wage was sent to one year of imprisonment. District prosecution officer Sanjeev Srivastava said that the court of Bindiya Pathak, judicial magistrate first class, sentenced the accused Manish to 1 year of rigorous imprisonment. In the case, the prosecution was done by assistant district public prosecution officer Jyoti Tomar.

The prosecution officials said that on June 20, 2015, the complainant Santosh went to Pandharinath Police Station and complained that on the date of the incident, the complainant was working as a painter in Devi Ahilya School Chhatribagh Indore along with his friend Dilip.

Manish Kala was also working as a painter with him.  At around 1:30 pm, everyone was sitting to have lunch. Manish Kala came there and asked why the complainant was not paying him for his work. The complainant told him that he had taken a day off for which he will not get the money. Over this Manish started abusing and argued with him that he must pay him money for that day too.

The argument turned ugly and the accused took out a small blade-like knife from his pocket and hit on right cheek of the victim. The accused also gave life threat to him and went from there. The case was presented in the court, on which the accused was punished.
