The work of shifting the 1200 diameter pipeline was initiated on Tuesday and completed by Wednesday evening. As a result, the city began receiving water from the Jayakwadi Dam on Thursday morning, after a gap of almost two days. Water supply to some localities had been stopped on Tuesday and Wednesday, causing severe water scarcity for the residents during this period. The water supply to these areas was restored on Thursday on a priority basis.

The ongoing work on Paithan Road required the shifting of existing pipelines at Gevrai Tanda, Kaudgaon, Taherpur, and Dhorkin. To facilitate this, the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) had called for a shutdown on Tuesday. The pipes were shifted on the first day of work, and on Wednesday, the pipeline cross-connection was completed. The work was finished by around 7 pm on Wednesday, and the water supply was resumed.

Water supply was started again on Thursday, with the city's water tanks being filled first. Subsequently, water was supplied to various localities, with priority given to those where the supply had been disrupted on Tuesday and Wednesday.
