Team India has already set the tone for the Border Gavaskar series with a crushing win over Australia in Perth. Ahead of the practice match against Prime Minister XI, Team India players had the opportunity to meet Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. During the meet, Virat Kohli and Albanese shared a light-hearted moment where the Aussie PM congratulated Kohli on Perth ton. Kohli came up with witty reply stating 'You always got to add some spice'.

The Rohit Sharma led Team India has landed in Canberra to play a practice match against Prime Minister XI that starts on December 30th. The Indian team were donning their travelling kit and looked stylish yet comfortable in their airport look.  The pink ball practice match will serve as a preparation for the Australia vs India 2nd Test which will be a day-night affair in Adelaide.

India's record in the Pink Ball test

India has played four matches and won three of those. However, India's only loss in pink-ball Test came against Australia in 2020. The loss was a major embarrassment as India were bowled out to their lowest total in Test cricket for just 36 runs. Australia won that Test by 8 wickets.

The other three matches were played by India at home in which they defeated teams like Bangladesh, England and Sri LankaIndia will look to put the Pink Ball demons in Australia behind after winning the opening match in Perth.

India beat Australia by 295-run in the 1st Test which was played at the Optus Stadium in Perth. Not only did Jasprit Bumrah led side managed to breach the Perth fortress but also made history by becoming the the first-ever visiting team to inflict defeat on Australia at this venue. The home team had never lost a five day game at this venue before this.
