Bollywood's beloved mom-and-son duo, Malaika Arora and Arhaan Khan, have teamed up to launch an exciting new venture: a restaurant named The Scarlett House, located in Mumbai's Bandra area
While you might be excited about a new dining experience in the city, did you know the restaurant is built in a 90-year-old bungalow?
Yes, you read that right. As per Architectural Digest (AD), the eatery is constructed in a vintage 90-year-old Indo-Portuguese bungalow in Pali village, Bandra
A series of exquisite pictures shared by AD on Instagram featured the rustic interiors and the old-world charm of Scarlett House
The diner is adorned with vibrant wallpapers, mismatched furniture, vintage dinnerware, floral arrangements, plants, warm wooden tables, glazed tiles and more
Malaika envisioned the restaurant as a space of "quiet and warm luxury." She told AD, "We were enthralled by the charm of this quaint red Portuguese gem in the winding lanes of Bandra—visually and emotionally, it couldn’t be better for us."
Additionally, Principal Architect Nyishi Parekh shared that many rugs and lights were sourced from Parisian weekend markets, adding more to its vintage allure
