Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Good news for travelers in Madhya Pradesh! Air India Express has announced to start a direct flight from Indore to Bangkok in March 2025.

This new route will also ease Indore’s connectivity with Canada and US, as Air India Express plans to connect the Bangkok flight with international airlines such as Air Canada and United Airlines.

Currently, there is no direct flight from Indore to Bangkok. All flights have layovers stretching to nearly 15 hours at either Mumbai or Delhi airports.

According to information, Thailand has already confirmed that permission for the Indore-Bangkok flight. Once operational, passengers flying to Canada or the US can transit through Bangkok without the need for additional checks there; all necessary inspections will be done at Indore Airport.

Chairman of the Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh Chapter of the Travel Agents Association of India Hemendra Singh Jadon said, "Indore is set to get connected with Bangkok in 2025. Along with the Bangkok flight, there is a possibility of another international flight for Indore."

‘Flight proposed for Singapore’

Speaking about other plans to improve the connectivity, Indore’s MP Shankar Lalwani said, "We have proposed flights for Bangkok and Singapore. These are destinations with high demand in the tourism sector. The airlines have also considered our proposal."

Other flights to start from December, January

Starting December, two new direct flights from Indore to Kolkata will begin, operated by Indigo and Air India Express. Additionally, from January 15, 2025, Air India Express will launch a direct flight to Hyderabad, offering more options for travelers.

This expansion marks significant progress for Indore’s connectivity, enhancing both domestic and international travel options.
