Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh): A tragic incident has been reported from Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park, where two cubs of cheetah Nirva died on Wednesday. Reportedly, cheetah Nirva delivered four cubs on November 22. The inspection team found the bodies of both in a mutilated condition.
Kuno National Park officials gave this information late on Wednesday evening. DFO R Thirukkural told Free Press that said all the remaining adult leopards and 12 cubs in Kuno National Park are healthy. He further added that since the birth of cubs of Cheetah Nirva, she was with her cubs the all time, hence the inspection team couldn't reach there. They inspected the spot today when she left from there and saw two dead cubs.
Notably, before Nirva gave birth to cubs in Kuno National Park, there were 12 adult cheetahs and 12 cubs i.e. a total of 24 cheetahs. The Kuno officials have still given the same information and haven't told anything about the remaining two cubs of cheetah Nirva, creating uncertainty.
