Mumbai: It's good news for air travellers taking the newly opened and the city's first underground Metro – Aqua Line 3. Plans are afoot to build a temporary walkway, providing direct connectivity from the T2 Metro station to the airport building.

Currently, the passengers have to navigate several turns before finally reaching the airport. The long walk becomes more arduous if one has luggage. Traffic further adds to the woes of travellers, leaving them exhausted even before the start of their journey.

Considering the public travails, the agencies are now planning to build a temporary walkway, which will help commuters to easily skip the roadblocks and seamlessly reach the airport.

Reportedly, officials concerned also carried out an inspection of the T2 Metro station to understand the ground reality and come up with a solution. Hope the walkway becomes a reality soon. Bon voyage!
