The assembly polls – 2024 were conducted successfully in the Basmath, Hingoli, and Kalamnuri assembly constituencies in Hingoli district, and the results were declared on November 23. Now, the government officers and employees are back to their regular jobs.
Around 4,000 officers and employees were deputed on election duties in the district. Since the announcement of the election, these employees have been engaged in various kinds of election work for the past month. The election was conducted successfully, and the employees shouldered their responsibilities efficiently.
In all, 4,060 officers and employees were deputed in the district, including 1,308 in Basmath constituency, 1,380 in Kalamnuri, and 1,372 in Hingoli. The polling was held on November 20, and the results were declared on November 23. The officers then started returning to their regular work from Monday. Now, people are thronging to the government offices to complete their pending work, and the government offices are getting crowded.
These employees were busy with election duties for almost a month. Hence, most of the regular work was pending, and people faced severe inconvenience due to the unavailability of the officers and employees. As the workload has increased now, people have been appealed to cooperate with the officers in the offices.
The Election Commission of India (EC) has relaxed the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct from Monday. Hence, the implementation of government schemes and other work has started again.
