Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A severed head of a 65-year-old woman was found hanging on a branch of tree in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar on Wednesday morning. The dripping blood on the ground helped police reach the site!

The gruesome site sent shockwaves among the villagers. The incident was reported from Tehra-Tehri village, where a 70-year-old man slit his 65-year-old wife wife's throat with a sickle. The accused husband then separated the head from the body and placed it in the middle of a tree, nearly 600 meters away from the village.

According to information, head of Sadarani Sahu (65) was lying in the hallway of the house on Wednesday morning. When the neighbours saw blood was spilling all around the house, they informed the police. The police then registered a case against the accused husband and sent the body for post-mortem.

According to information, Sadarani Sahu and her husband Khubchand Sahu around 1.30 on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday were singing Bhajans. In the morning, Sadarani's blood-soaked body was found in the hallway of the house and her head was missing, while her husband Khubchand was found missing.

Upon ruckus, a crowd of villagers gathered at the spot and informed the police. The police reached the spot and made a Panchnama of the torso. Even after searching the house, the head was not found so the police started searching nearby. The police suspected that the accused husband murdered her by slitting her neck with a sickle.

After a lot of hustle-bustle, police found the severed head in the branches of a tree near the Jwaladevi temple road, about 600 meters away from the village. The police put the head and torso together and called FSL team on the spot. Following this, FSL team also reached the spot and collected evidence related to the incident.

The police have registered a case against the accused husband and searching for him. The reason behind the murder will be known only after the accused is arrested.
