One of the largest public sector banks, Bank of India, is facing issues with its connectivity across the board. The bank's depositors have taken it to social media platforms to air their concerns regarding the functionality of the features and services rendered by the bank.
Bank of India Servers Down
One user took X to air their concerns. In their post, he said, "Hey @BankofIndia_IN Your connectivity is down for the SECOND CONSECUTIVE DAY!"
The user cited a personal ordeal and said. "My 75 year old mother is going since two days to withdraw cash and she has not been able to do it because you people are not competent. "
The user further claimed that he has been facing this issue for the past 2 days. At least have the decency to inform people that there is a problem. @RBI @RBIsays @FinMinIndia @nsitharaman @nsitharamanoffc. Evidently, people have been tweeting about it since Monday."
The user also shared screegrabs of instances of other users raising similar concerns.
One user remared, "facing issues with UPI, mobile banking & debit card transactions at ATMs. All services are down, showing "server issue". Requesting urgent resolution.i am disappoint #BankOfIndia #Serverlssue #UPI #MobileBanking"
What are the Services That Have Been Affected?
As per these complaints, the Bank of Baroda app, the BoI ATMs, the bank website or net banking services alongside the UPI transactions cannot be done, as the bank servers appear to be down at all these avenues.
Some users could not login into the bank's in-house application. Meanwhile, others, who used their account to make UPI transactions also could not transfer money, as the services claimed to be 'temporarily unavailable'.
The Bank of India Down Server
As per Downdetector, the Bank Of India servers have failing to render services on multiple fronts including online banking, funds transfer and even checking account balances.
According to Downdetector, as many as 171 instances of outages were reported at 12:54 IST.
