Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Bhopal traffic police has released a traffic diversion plan in view of the upcoming Ijtima to be organised at Itkhedi. The four-day Ijtema, an Islamic congregation, will be held from November 29 to December 2.
Vehicles to railway station diverted to Roshanpura, Board office
Police have regulated the traffic and diverted it in view of heavy vehicular movements in areas including Mubarakpur to Patel Nagar bypass, Gandhinagar to Ayodhyanagra bypass, Ratnagiri, Lambakheda to Karond Bhopal talkies, Peergate, Moti Masjid, Royal Market, Lalghati Chauraha, Nadra Bus Stand, Bhopal railway station, Alpana Tiraha, Bharat Talkies and Boagdapul. Vehicles coming from Bhopal main city and heading towards Rajabhoj airport will be diverted toward Bhadbhada Square.
Traffic from Jhagriya road toward Khajuri Sadak will be rerouted towards Mubarakpur bypass. Traffic from the main city towards Bhopal railway station will be diverted to Roshanpura, and Board office. Bhopal city bus will also adhere to the new traffic diversion plan.

Atleast 10 lakh people are expected to participate in this four-day Ijtema in Bhopal. The district administration has started preparations to ensure smooth working of the city. Similarly, special police teams will also be deployed on various locations of the city like railway stations and bus stands to keep a check on law and order.
