Rishabh Pant is in next and no surprises, he is likely to get massive bids. And deservedly so, as the bid closes on ₹27 Crore from the Lucknow Super Giants.
Mitchell Starc, who was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders and played a vital role in their title win, comes in next.
Next up is Jos Buttler, who has been with the Rajasthan Royals since 2018. However, he will head to the Gujarat Titans for IPL 2025, fetching INR 15.75 crore.
IPL 2024 winning captain Shreyas Iyer is currently going under the hammer and has gone beyond ₹15 crore. And now he has surpassed Mitchell Starc (₹24.75) to become the most expensive player in auction history. The Punjab Kings have finally pouched him for ₹26.75 crore.
Kagiso Rabada is the next in the marquee set and heads to the Gujarat Titans for ₹10.75 crore.
Arshdeep Singh is the first player in the marquee set. Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals, Gujarat Titans and SunRisers Hyderabad have jumped into the battle. While the SunRisers were ready to give ₹20.35 crore, Punjab Kings have exercised their Right to Match option by pouching him for ₹18 crore.

A total of 574 players have been selected to go under hammer . The list comprises of 208 international players, 12 uncapped international prospects, and 318 uncapped Indian players.
The 48-year-old Mallika Sagar will be wielding the auctioneer's hammer as some of the big names will attract big bids

With yet another season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season barely a few months away, the auction for the same sets the wheels in motion for what is known as the biggest T20 league in the world. A total of 577 players, including some of the biggest ones, will go under the hammer as the ten IPL franchises set out to build their squad for the 2025 edition.
The likes of Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Mitchell Starc, Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone among many other stars will go under the hammer. Pant's release came as the most significant surprise, having been with the Delhi Capitals since 2014 and skippering the side in two complete editions.
