The Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar and Daman and Diu Administration, under the able leadership of Union Territory Administrator Praful Patel and Secretary Youth Programmes and Sports Under the guidance of Arun T. and in collaboration with the Director of the Department, Arun Gupta, the closing and prize distribution ceremony of the 68th National School Games Table Tennis (Under 17 Boys and Girls) Tournament 2024-25 concluded with great enthusiasm on Thursday under the chairmanship of Arun Gupta, Director/Joint Secretary, Department of Sports and Youth Affairs.

In this tournament, all the coaches and referees played an important role as facilitators, displaying their skillful experience. In the final match of the table tennis tournament, Devrajsinh Rathod, T.S.O. Miss Tamil Nadu for securing the first position in Girls (Under-17) was felicitated by giving a gold medal. Ms. Dipannita Saha of West Bengal won the silver medal for securing the second position and Ms. Sukriti Sharma was awarded the bronze medal for securing the third position. After this, the above three winners of Girls (Under-17) were felicitated by the Chief Guest Director/Joint Secretary Arun Gupta with trophies.

After this, in the final match of the Table Tennis Tournament, Assistant Physical Officer Akshay Kotalwar awarded Debraj Bhattacharya of West Bengal with the gold medal for securing the first position in Boys (Under-17). Vishal Garg of Chandigarh was awarded the silver medal for securing the second position and Midela Ayush Reddy of Telangana was awarded the bronze medal for securing the third position. After this, the above three winners of Boys (Under-17) were felicitated by the Chief Guest Director/Joint Secretary Arun Gupta with trophies.

In this Boys and Girls (Under-17) competition, 462 players and other members from 33 different States/Union Territories/Units from across the country participated.
