Going into the finals with 18 points, Nizams FC needed just a draw to confirm their top spot. In a tense opener against Trinity Sporting, the Nizams held their nerve to secure a crucial draw, enough to crown them champions, an update stated. The second and final match of the day saw Natak deliver a scintillating performance, overpowering Superstrikers with an emphatic 4-1 victory, showcasing the league’s depth of talent. Individual honours went to Angam, who was named Player of the Season for his exceptional contribution of 11 goals and 8 assists, underscoring his vital role in the league. And in a special moment, the league honoured its oldest player, 68-year-old Sanjit Defoe from Natak FC, acknowledging his dedication and remarkable presence on the field. “ATL Season 8 ended on a high, with fans and players alike celebrating a season filled with skill, passion, and unforgettable moments,” the update added.
