DIMAPUR — The governing body of Nagaland Super League (NSL) has refuted what it claimed were inaccurate and misinformation that had appeared in the media. “The information currently being shared, including the list of franchises, operational guidelines and player recruitment details is unauthorised and misleading. The NSL governing body has not released any official statement or details related to the franchises, eligibility requirements or operational framework. “Only a document for applying clubs and franchises has been issued to those organisations that have registered with an interest to participate in the league and this is an internal document for the registered franchises only,” it stated in a press release issued on Monday. It urged “media outlets, social media users and the general public” to refrain from sharing “unverified information that is false and speculative”. “All official announcements will be made exclusively by the NSL governing body through authorised channels, including press releases, official meetings or notifications issued by the NSL headquarters,” it added.
