KOHIMA — The newly constructed school building of Living Christian School (LCS) in Zuketsa, under Phek district, was inaugurated by Visakho Therie, additional chief engineer of the department of Power, on November 23. LCS was sponsored by the Leshemi, Lasumi, Zapami, Lewoza, and Zuketsa Baptist churches and was established in 1985, according to an update. The event was also an alumni meet. Addressing the gathering, Therie emphasised the need to provide quality education and to transform the institution into a centre of excellence that attracts others. He called for greater participation and collective efforts to achieve the desired target. Weku Zhiemi (NCS), under secretary, spoke on behalf of the alumni, while Sabou Krome, president of the Zuketsa Area Public Organisation, addressed the gathering with an exhortation. Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) president Pfhulo Sara also shared greetings.
