DIMAPUR — The Sub-Divisional Agriculture Office (SDAO) in Chiephobozou, under Kohima district, was officially inaugurated by C Peter Yanthan, Director of Agriculture, on Monday. The inaugural programme was attended by government officials, public leaders, and community members. In his address, Yanthan highlighted the history and milestones of the Agriculture department, underlining the critical role of agricultural services in fostering growth and resilience among farmers, an update informed. He also applauded the establishment of the new office as a significant step towards advancing agricultural development in the region. Alemyapang Longchar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Chiephobozou, emphasised the government’s commitment to strengthening agricultural development and providing enhanced support to the community. The ADC encouraged both staff and the public to utilise the new office effectively to benefit the region’s farmers and agricultural sector. The inaugural programme was chaired by Mhaisikhotuo Mere, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer of Chiephobozou. Earlier, the programme commenced with a dedication prayer led by Zayieciikho Riiho, Catechist of St. Dominic Church, Chiephobozou.
