DIMAPUR — The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Kohima, in collaboration with the Nagaland State Social Audit Agency (NSSAA), conducted the 3rd phase social audit district-level public hearing for the financial year (FY) 2024-25 on November 22 at the DC’s conference hall in Kohima. The hearing reviewed the implementation of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) for FY 2022-23 and the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) for 2019-20. A DIPR report stated a total of 12 villages under Chiephobozou and Botsa rural development blocks in Kohima district were audited during the programme. The hearing was chaired by the project director of DRDA, Kohima, Kevilhoubei-ü, who warmly welcomed the officials and participants. In her introductory address, Imlirenla Sanglir, assistant director of NSSAA, commended the programme functionaries and the implementing agency for their efforts in adhering to project guidelines and highlighted the progress made over the years. She emphasised the importance of addressing findings from the social audit and urged stakeholders to implement corrective measures.
