DIMAPUR — The Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Niuland conducted a farmer-scientist interaction at ATMA office, Niuland on November 20. Acvcording to an update, Dr. Engrala Ao, junior scientist (Agronomy), AICRP on Soybean; Dr. Lowrence Kithan, scientist (Agronomy), AICRP on Kharif Pulses; Dr. Virosanuo Solo, junior agronomist, AICRP on Linseed and Imlilemla Amlari, technical assistant, AICRP on Linseed from School of Agriculture Sciences, Nagaland University, SAS – NU), Medziphema, were the resource persons for the programme. During the programme chaired by Demalu Hasnusa, BTM, Niuland block, various queries were put up and discussed amongst the 30 participants from 14 villages and resource persons on the cultivation methods of oilseeds and pulses. The resource persons emphasised on adoption of line sowing methods, biological methods of pest management, use of certified seeds, intercropping and crop rotation techniques.
