DIMAPUR — Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) across Nagaland commemorated World Toilet Day 2024 by organising various activities on the theme “Toilet: a place for peace.” The World Toilet Day in Dimapur was observed at the conference hall of the deputy commissioner office. The event was organised by PHED Dimapur Urban and Rural divisions to raise awareness about the significance of sanitation aimed at emphasising the role of toilets in ensuring health, dignity and harmony in society. The World Toilet Day campaign 2024 commenced on November 19 and would culminate on December 10. The programme in Dimapur was attended by the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) of Dimapur, Zakabo Rotokha, who encouraged the department to conduct the campaign successfully. Speaking on the occasion, the ADC spoke on the launch Janjatiyan Gaurav Divas (November 15 to 26). The event was aimed at promoting socio-economic uplift of the tribal population and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the country by motivating the coming generations.
