DIMAPUR — Commissioner and Secretary for Law and Justice, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, and Electoral Roll Observer for Peren district, Y Kikheto Sema, visited Peren on Wednesday. According to an update, he convened a meeting with all area administrative officers, supervisors, and representatives of recognised political parties at the DC conference hall to discuss the ongoing electoral roll summary revision. During the meeting, Kikheto emphasised the importance of a clean electoral roll revision and stated that a clean election is only possible with a clean electoral roll, which is also the desire of the Election Commission of India (ECI). Stating that it is the responsibility of all stakeholders to create and spread awareness of clean elections and a clean electoral roll among the masses, he said it should be included in the syllabus of family prayer meetings, Sunday school preaching, elementary education, and church activities.
