DIMAPUR — The second phase of mass social work will be conducted across Wokha district, along with the rest of the districts in Nagaland, on November 22. According to an order issued by DC Wokha, Vineet Kumar, this is in pursuance of the Cabinet decision dated October 9, 2024, and the video conference with the Commissioner of Nagaland on November 19, 2024, in preparation for the upcoming 25th Hornbill Festival. All individuals, as well as public and private institutions, have been directed to organise and participate in the social work within their respective institutions/jurisdictions from 7:00 am onwards. During the drive, all building materials stacked on the roadsides should be immediately removed. Latrines and pigsties discharging waste onto the roadsides should be removed or demolished. Shops in the town should have proper signboards and may also have proper lighting at night. Further, damaged or defaced signage should be redone. Repainting of shops and business establishments is encouraged. Villages along the highways (both national and state) should clear the vegetation along the road stretch within their respective jurisdictions.
