Pfütsero — Advisor of Central Administrative Works Department (CAWD) and Taxes, Kudecho Khamo, on Tuesday inaugurated a General Administration (GA) rest house in Pfütsero town under Phek district and called for responsible use and safeguarding of government facilities and properties. Speaking at the inaugural programme, Khamo expressed gratitude to landowners for enabling the construction of offices and developmental projects in the region. However, he raised concerns over certain land donors obstructing development, stating that reclaiming donated or sold land is both morally and legally unjustifiable. He urged the community to address such issues, emphasising that traditionally reclaiming parted land was considered a severe transgression. Highlighting the government’s efforts to enhance road infrastructure, Khamo said the administration is committed to promoting tourism, sports and youth empowerment. He also encouraged merit-based opportunities for those aspiring to join government services and reiterated the government’s commitment to resolving the Naga political issue by urging all factions to unite under a single umbrella.
