DIMAPUR — Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs, Government of India, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, held a review meeting with the line departments of the centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) in Nagaland at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima, on Monday. Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Dr. J Alam, speaking on the occasion, said the review meeting with senior officials was held to gain an overview of the various schemes and programmes being implemented by the state government with assistance from the Government of India. Alam also said the meeting aimed to review all the flagship programmes and oversee the progress being made in the exploration schemes and aspirational blocks, according to a DIPR report. Giving a brief overview of the state, he highlighted some major ongoing projects, such as the four-lane national highways, railway projects, and other iconic projects with central assistance. Kumar, who is on a two-day visit to Nagaland, assured after thorough deliberations with the CSS implementation department and other centrally sponsored schemes that all the suggestions and challenges faced by the state have been duly noted and will be put forth for further necessary action.
