Sri Vijaya Puram, March 2: District Administration, South Andaman has taken strict action against violators who were indulged in illegal extraction and unauthorized Transportation of earth in contravention of Land Revenue Regulations.

During a recent field inspection, the revenue officials of Ferrargunj tehsil detected 02 Nos. trucks transporting earth at Wandoor village without valid transit passes. As a result, a fine of Rs 44,000/- (Rupees Forty-four thousand only) was imposed. Additionally, in Guptapara village, revenue officials found illegal extraction and dumping of earth. The violator was penalized with a fine of Rs 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) for the offense.
