Bambooflat, Dec. 23: The District Administration, South Andaman has intensified its efforts to address the issue of encroachments through continuous eviction drives across the District. This initiative aims to remove unauthorized structures and restore Government lands and public spaces from encroachments by unscrupulous elements.

In a recent drive, revenue officials from Ferrargunj Tehsil removed encroachments involving various plants, including ailing and betelnut saplings, as well as a coconut sapling and banana plantation, at Bambooflat village in Wimberlygunj. A total area of 500 square meters of Government land has been successfully reclaimed and restored to the Government Khata.
