Kalighat, Nov. 15: On 13/11/2024, in a swift and efficient operation against illegal liquor activities, the PS Kalighat team conducted a targeted search in the dense forest area of Sagar Para, Talbagan, Kalighat.

Responding promptly to a tip-off, SHO SI Ashok Kumar Baghel constituted a specialized team comprising SI M.J. Indrajit In-charge, OP Kishorinagar and PCs Ripon Mistry and Abhijit Roy. During the search in the dense forest area of Sagar Para, the team discovered a concealed site used for illicit liquor production, recovering approximately 805 liters of Lehan and various production materials hidden within the jungle. All confiscated items were subsequently destroyed, delivering a significant blow to the illegal liquor manufacturing network.
