The 6th edition of the India-Japan joint military exercise, Dharma Guardian, commenced on February 24, 2025, at Japan’s East Fuji Training Area. Conducted at an expanded scale, it focuses on joint urban warfare and counter-terrorism under a UN mandate. Strengthening defence ties, the exercise enhances interoperability, tactical coordination, and disaster response, reinforcing India-Japan cooperation for regional security and a free, open Indo-Pacific.
