The Andhra Pradesh government appointed eminent oncologist Dr. Dattatreyudu  Nori as Government Advisor on cancer care on Monday. In an exclusive interaction with The Hindu, Dr. Nori, Dattatreyudu, while sharing his views on cancer care in India and abroad, stresses the need to classify cancer as a notifiable disease. He says it helps prepare a  ‘Cancer Atlas’, which should show cancer information for every district and State in India to address the problem. Following are the Excerpts from the interview:
