LS forms Select Committee to examine new Income Tax Bill; Baijayant Panda appointed Chairperson

The Speaker of the Lok Sabha has established a Select Committee, led by Baijayant Panda, to review the new Income-Tax Bill, 2025. The Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, introduced the bill aiming to simplify the tax system, reduce the tax burden, and strengthen anti-evasion measures.
