Actor Adrien Brody, who received the Best Actor honour at the 97th Academy Awards for his role of Hungarian-Jewish architect László Tóth in The Brutalist, went on to speak for five minutes and 40 seconds on stage, going against the standard 45-second timer. He has now left behind Greer Garson, who spoke for five minutes and 30 seconds after getting an award for Mrs. Miniver back in 1943.
