NASA has confirmed that asteroid 2024 YR4, once feared to pose a serious risk to Earth, now has an almost zero chance of impact. Detected in December 2024, its trajectory initially caused alarm, with the highest recorded probability of collision reaching 3.1% in February 2025. However, further observations have dramatically reduced the risk to just 0.004%. While Earth is safe, the asteroid now has a 1.7% chance of impacting the Moon. Scientists continue to track its movements for future insights.
