Amazon has filed a lawsuit against Washington state’s Department of Labour and Industries (L&I) to prevent the release of records related to its satellite initiative, Project Kuiper. The Washington Post, owned by Amazon’s executive chairman Jeff Bezos, had requested the documents as part of its investigative reporting. Amazon argues that the records contain trade secrets and proprietary information, while the state agency believes they should be disclosed. The legal battle raises concerns about potential conflicts of interest, given Bezos’ ownership of both the newspaper and the tech giant.
