Elon Musk-owned social media platform X shut down yet again on Monday evening as over 1000 users reported an outage. This marked the second time the site faced an outage in one day within hours of each other.According to Downdetector, a little over a hundred users reported facing trouble with the platform at around 6.28 pm IST. The number quickly rose to 1,000 and then 1,268 within 20 minutes as more complaints poured into the website regarding the disruptions. At around 7.28 pm, the Downdetector spike showed a total of 1,465 reports.However, after one and a half hour of being offline, the platform became available to users again around 7.56 pm. Earlier, several users of the platform reported global disruptions with both the website and app. Downdetector recorded a massive spike in complaints around 3:10 pm IST. After nearly 30 minutes of downtime, users were able to access the site again. The Elon Musk-led company has not yet commented on the cause of the issue. While X hasn't faced similar problems recently, other platforms like Instagram and Facebook have experienced outages. According to a Reuters report citing Downdetector, over 21,000 incidents were reported in the US, while the UK saw more than 10,800 reported disruptions.
