HORSE RACING: Sixmilebridge is expected to be disqualified from its win at the Cheltenham trials in January after testing positive for a banned substance. Trainer Fergal O’Brien claims that the six-year-old horse had been given a permitted medication for a joint problem three weeks before its recent win. Sixmilebridge is still expected to compete in next Wednesday’s Turners Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival.

MEN’S RUGBY LEAGUE: The fourth round of Super League fixtures kick off tomorrow evening with Leigh putting their hundred per cent record on the line at Hull FC. The bottom two clash tomorrow when Castleford welcome Salford to the Jungle.
