The West Midlands has once again claimed the crown and bragging rights of having the best pub in the country. Located near the Welsh border, The Bailey Head pub in Oswestry, Shropshire was named the 2024 CAMRA Pub of the Year. The pub beat the Black Horse in Preston, the Three B's in Bridlington and the Little Green Dragon in Winchmore Hill to secure their first ever victory. The previous Pub of the Year, the Tamworth Tap had held onto the award for two consecutive years. The pub opened in 2015 under the ownership of husband and wife team Duncan Borrowman and Grace Goodlad.
