Essex police said a boy and a girl died at the scene and the car involved failed to stop

Two people have been arrested after two children died in a car collision in Essex on Saturday, police said.

Officers were called to Walthams Place in Basildon at around 6.25pm to reports of a crash with a car failing to stop.
